Optional Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people discover GoodWorld, which positive stories are read, and how visitors interact with the site. Analytics is optional. We do not load Google's Analytics tag or send analytics events unless you choose Accept analytics. Clicking Decline keeps GoodWorld available as normal.
If you accept, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies to measure visits, general location, traffic sources, pages visited, reading interactions, story likes, shares, and visits to our donation section. We do not intentionally send your email address, wallet address, or authentication tokens as Analytics event parameters. Google processes analytics data under its own terms and privacy policies. We do not enable Google advertising storage or ad personalization through this feature.
Change your choice
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under gw_analytics_consent_v1. You can reopen the banner using the Privacy choices control, which appears on every page. You can withdraw consent at any time. If you withdraw consent, we stop new analytics tracking and reload the page to unload the analytics script. Clearing browser site data also resets the stored choice.
Accounts and essential services
Reading news does not require registration. If you choose to create an account to like stories, Supabase provides authentication and stores information needed to manage your account and likes. The site and its hosting providers also process technical requests needed to serve pages securely. Those essential services are separate from optional Google Analytics.
Donations and links
GoodWorld shows public cryptocurrency donation addresses. You do not connect a wallet or submit a private key to this site to view or copy an address. If you choose to send a cryptocurrency donation, the transfer occurs on the relevant public blockchain. Links to original reporting lead to external sites with their own privacy practices.
